Rishi Sunak has today announced that the Stamp Duty holiday for homes under £500,000 has been extended until the end of June 2021. Those that are currently in the process of purchasing a property won’t need to worry that their purchase may not complete by the end of March, which was the original end date for the Stamp Duty holiday.
Furthermore, the Stamp Duty holiday is extended for homes up to £250,000 until the end of September 2021. From the 1st October 2021 the pre Covid-19 Stamp Duty Rates will then be re-introduced.
