Access to the River Dee
Heading East out of Chester along Boughton itself there are a range of shops, takeaways, beauticians, hairdressers and pubs, aswell as the more recent additions of Waitrose and a hotel. Access from one side of the road leads to the River Dee, while access from the other side of the road leads to the Shropshire Union Canal towpath. If you continue further down Boughton onto Tarvin Road there is an Aldi supermarket, Home and Bargains and a carpet shop. Tarvin Road in turn leads to Vicars Cross and the A55, A51, which leads to other major road networks and motorways.
Shops & famous wine store
If going along Boughton and bearing right around ‘Bill Smiths Motorbike Showroom’ and immediately left, you will reach the continuation of Boughton leading into Great Boughton, which includes shops such as a florist, butchers, café, newspaper and convenience stores (with a post office internally) and a Co-Op. Not forgetting the famous Tanners Wine Store, where you can sample the wines before buying!
Caldy Retail Park
Great Boughton continues towards Huntington, where Sainsbury supermarket can be found next to Caldy Valley Retail Park. Caldy Valley Retail Park consists of Rightway, Pets at Home, B&M bargain store and Halfords.
