Handbridge is accessed from Chester City Centre

Handbridge is accessed from Chester City Centre by walking over the Old Dee Bridge at the bottom of Lower Bridge Street and in turn leads into Queens Park. 

Handbridge has a range of local convenience stores, including a Co-Op petrol station and shop, fresh fruit and vegetable shop, plenty of pubs which serve delicious food and some independent shops.

Beautiful views of the River Dee & The Meadows

The local schools include Overleigh St Marys Church of England School, The Catholic High School, Queens Park High School and Chester International School for 14 – 19 year olds, which is located in Queens Park. 

Both Handbridge and Queens Park give access to the famous Chester Meadows, where the views and walks along the River Dee are wonderful. Queens Park also gives access to the ‘Queens Park Suspension Bridge’, which gives pedestrian access over the River Dee to the beautiful ‘Groves’.

Easy access to the A55, A483 from both Handbridge and Queens Park, which provides access to the wider range of road and motorway networks.
